Bio

I've been using Find a Grave for many years in my own genealogy research and have greatly appreciated coming across photos, obituaries, and death certificates on this site, so when I can, I will share photos and documents on the memorials I manage. I view Find a Grave as a place to save family history and make it available for the current and future generations. Recently, I began requesting to manage family members' memorials (unless they are managed by a family member who is a closer relation than myself). I plan to update those memorials with a short bio of the person and add their family members. As of now, I plan to manage only the memorials of my family. Thank you to everyone who has transferred my family members existing memorials to me- I appreciate the time and effort you put in to create them! My hope is that each memorial I manage will honor my family members' fully-lived lives.

The family names I'm researching:
- Samuel M. Frost family who migrated from Illinois to Texas with the Pilgrim Regular Predestinarian Baptist Church of Jesus Christ. Samuel, my 4th great-grandfather, died at Fort Parker on 19 May 1836 in Limestone County, Texas.
- William Parker family who migrated from Rutherford County, Tennessee to Illinois then to Anderson County, Texas; John Berry Parker/ Sarah Jane (Frost) Parker family in Anderson County and Limestone County, Texas
- Taylor from Blount County, Alabama; Texas; and Seminole County/ Hughes County, Oklahoma
- Powell from Arkansas and Seminole County, Oklahoma
- McGahhey from North Carolina and Arkansas
- Shamhart from Ohio, Illinois, and Arkansas
- Hooper from Texas and Louisiana
- Mitchell from Williamson County, Texas
- Jones from Williamson County, Texas
- Carpenter from Lockhart, Texas
- Frey from Waco, Texas
- Caswell from Texas

If you're researching any of these families please contact me if you would like to swap research info. I have taken DNA tests with Ancestry, 23andMe, MyHeritage, Living DNA, and Family Tree DNA (FTDNA), and I'm always looking for cousin matches who can help me fill in my tree.

I thank everyone who has contributed to this site and good luck in your own research!
