I'm usually here to do research on my family tree, but when I realized that this incredibly helpful site was created with the help of so many people who volunteer their time and research skills, I decided to start helping out as I could. I try to fill in gaps on decedents profiles if I feel like I've researched them thoroughly, and connect profiles to their family members where this is missing. Sometimes I worry that people were left off for a reason (like when multiple spouses are involved but not all are recognized) but I think it's important for these to be accurate for others who are researching later. My own branch of my family tree is very short so most of the people I update or create are very distant relatives - like 4x cousins and their relatives.
