Bio

I'm from the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, and grew up visiting and tending family cemeteries with my parents and grandparents. Like most people on Find a Grave, I became interested in family history and memorial preservation at an early age.

I'm genetically linked to the following families and branches in the U.S. and beyond: Bridgwater/Bridgewater, Cantu, Cavazos, Creel, Houston, Juarez, Lindsey, Little, McKinney, Milstead/Milsted, Salinas, Smith (NY/TX), Solis, Stapp, Villarreal, Young and Zapata. By marriage, I'm connected to families Brockman, Henderson, McMichael, Redington, and Witham.

Over the years, I've built a collection of original family photos (my own and other people's, c.1870-1940) through inheritance, donations, auctions, resale/estate purchases, and even garbage finds. By comparing info from original owners against resources available via Ancestry.com and other authorities, I'm often able to match photos with Find a Grave families.

If you receive a photo from me, please know that it was placed with respect. If you'd like me to remove photos I've placed, please let me know. Kindly note, however, that I can't remove images left by other memorial contributors. I can try to contact them, but they may not respond.
