I developed an interest in headstone photography when I started my own family tree over 12 years ago. My family tree is ongoing and a labour of love. I know how valuable headstone inscriptions are in family history research. It can sometimes help you solve a "Brick Wall".

The one negative of fulfilling headstone photo requests is the lack of acknowledgement by the requesters. It can take hours to locate just one headstone especially if the exact location in a cemetery is not known. A very simple "Thank You" goes a long way in acknowledging the time and work the volunteers give to find the headstone requested.
