I am the granddaughter of Davis Clare Harris born January 23, 1909 and died April 18, 1962. He died four months after I was born so I never knew him but my Dad (Dennis Clare Harris) looked just like him. I cannot believe the information on this site dating back to 1772 to Captain James Harris. I will be adding pictures and would love to find any family members that may still be living. Reverend William M. Harris in 1772 had 16 children so there may be distant cousins?Let me know if you are part of this family tree. I will also be joining Ancestry.com.
