Bio

I grew up in Chariton County, Missouri and moved to Kansas City after college. I became interested in genealogy long before the internet existed and like to brag that I did my research the hard way at the National Archives branch in KC. I really love discovering new things about those who came before me and sacrificed so much. My family includes, BILLS, BRAMMER, MILLER, KOESTER, LEVEN, SMITH, GIESLER, SELLMEYER, TEBBE from Chariton, Howard, and Saline counties.

“We are the chosen. In each family there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all that have gone before. We are the storytellers of the tribe.”
