Bio

I first got interested in my ancestral history while working on scrapbooks for myself and all my siblings with my mom a few years before she passed away in 2009. I am SO grateful for the work she and I put into this together. What a beautiful time as I sat at the computer typing while she dictated the stories. My roots include the Dieterman, VanWerden, Kooi, Zigter names on my Dad's side and DeKraker, VanHaitsma, Nederhoed, and Agema surnames on my Mom's side.
Since then, I have also gotten involved in my husbands family and even got to trace the Elenbaas family all the way back to the area they immigrated from, Baarland, Netherlands. His mother's side of the family includes names like VandePol, Herweyer, and Eising
When I found this opportunity to help others find their roots and to add information to help my own history come to life, I jumped on it!
