I’m a boxing historian, with a focus on my home state of Minnesota. I enjoy reading, researching, and writing about Minnesota boxing history and the boxers, trainers, managers, and promoters that made it what it was, and is. I especially enjoy finding graves of boxers and adding them to my virtual Minnesota Boxing Cemetery. Finding the graves of past greats who sadly, do not have markers such as: Oscar Gardner, Danny Needham, Pat Killen, Tommy Dixon, Professor Charles Hadley, Earl Blue, and many others, is a fulfilling hobby for me, as everyone’s final resting place should be marked. Aside from founding the Minnesota Boxing Hall of Fame in 2009, one of my proudest contributions is in organizing a drive to get the late, great, Featherweight, Jackie Graves a marker. I hope to someday help others get one as well.
