Rudolph Phelps was my grandfather. His son was Roy L. Phelps, my father.
Roy often told the story of how his dad died and he remembered that day clearly. The news clipping verified what I had heard from my dad many decades ago. My grandmother, Martha Phelps, was at the house when Rudolph died. My dad, Roy, passed away in 1990 from cancer. Martha Phelps passed in 1980.
