Bio

I began visiting family cemeteries with my dad over 30 years ago. Each stop was filled with stories of the people and the history of the small, rural community where he grew up. I started actively researching some time later when I began helping my mom document the family history. I still remember how I felt when I held my great-grandfather's actual marriage license and saw his signature, written by his own hand.
After I had researched and recorded all the family cemeteries, I began to adopt other cemeteries in my area to document. I work with one local cemetery at a time, focusing on historic (pre-1940) graves. I am happy to revisit any of my project cemeteries for photo requests, but please remember that sometimes a photo request can't be fulfilled because the grave is unmarked.
God Bless!
