Bio

The Angus Cemetery Association takes care of the cemetery and was in existence prior to 1944. The first recorded burial was about 1882. My parents were buried here in 2003. I served with George "Skipper" Harkey for many years as his Vice-Chairman. At election time, during the annual board meeting in May 2018, Skipper told me he wanted to serve as Chairman as long as he was able to do so. He got his wish as he went to HEAVEN in February 2019 and I assumed his duties. At the annual board meeting in May 2019, I was elected to fill his position as Chairman of the association. I have been working to get our records up to date since assuming the duties of chairman. I worked with Find A Grave site getting the cemetery plot locations posted with missing photos, then worked to add the memorials that I had in my records to Find A Grave site. Any edit suggestions are welcome as we have 855 memorials for those buried at Angus Cemetery and I now have 36 unknown graves. Working with Genealogy Trails History Group updating the Angus Cemetery burials.
I will gladly transfer the management of any memorial in my care to a family member. Just indicate the relationship in the request for transfer and be sure to provide your Find A Grave ID, so I can complete the transfer.
