I was born in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio. My paternal family is Armentrout while my maternal family is Swallow. My primary area of interest is my Armentrout family plus my maternal Swallow/Peters/Starr side of the family tree. My Swallow/Peters/Starr side of the family lived for many years in Darke County, Ohio (Greenville, New Weston, North Star). My Armentrout side of the family started in the United States in 1739 in the Lancaster area of Pennsylvania and subsequently in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia where many Armentrout families still live. My direct branch of Armentrouts moved from the Shenandoah Valley (Andrew Jackson Armentrout) to Lima Ohio about the time of our Civil War. I live in Sarasota, Florida USA (since 1974).
