I am finally taking the time to look into my family history. Great-grandparents from Norway, New York, Denmark and North Carolina--and I'm beginning to believe everywhere in between. As one of the few family members still in the Midwest, I am having fun searching out the old plat books, cemeteries, homesteads and churches. So many lives, so much history and so much to uncover!

The hardest part is finding out that a family story is barely true, but my favorite is finding a family story that none of us knew.
