What information can I include in a non-famous bio?
Genealogical data:
Genealogical information about the subject can be included in the biography.

Personal information:
The focus of a biography is memorializing the individual's life with preference to an originally written biography. We ask that those who index and memorialize the deceased from newspapers and other third party accounts do so with full respect of copyright*, refrain from adding information about living people (e.g. survivors) to protect their privacy, and respond generously to the family of the deceased.
* 70 years from today's date.

FROM ME:
While looking at a Find A Grave Memorial, I noticed that all the information wasn't there. After that, I started adding memorials and suggesting edits. I find this a rewarding way to volunteer my time!

Please do not post birth, marriage or death certificates. If you have this information for your suggested edit, please send it to me in a email.

If you notice a mistake, please kindly let me know. I've taken over a few thousand memorials and am in the process of working on them. It could be I haven't gotten to your particular memorial yet. Please use the edit button to suggest the edits.

If you're a relative and would like to have the memorial transferred to you, please let me know. Please see the guidelines below, as of January 11, 2022, those relationships are:

"…child, spouse/partner, sibling, parent, grandchild, great-grandchild, grandparent, great-grandparent, niece/nephew, great-niece/nephew, aunt/uncle, great-aunt/uncle, or first cousin. This would include adoptive, step and in-law versions of these relationships."

NOTE: If this is your DIRECT ancestor, I'll transfer the memorial, no matter how far back you are related.
