Bio

I recently became interested in genealogy when I was asked to create video memo rials for my grandmother's funeral. She was part of a large family and I was interested to know who was in the pictures I used for the video. And so it began...my interest increased when I volunteered to take old pictures from my living 100-year old grandmother's house and scan them, as her house needed to be sold and no one else knew what to do with them. History became alive when I found a scrap book made by great-grandmother, assembled around 1940. While it was not finished, it was a starting point that gave me personal stories and pictures about some of her great-grandparents and others, which dated back to 1800. From then, it really hit home that old pictures don't mean a lot unless you know the person in them, and what their life was like, and just one story can help. Now I want to help the next generation know my elders, who are nearing 100 years old.
