Bio

Hi, I am a family historian who has enjoyed researching my family for over 35 years. My aunt Norma who was already "in" to Genealogy got me hooked. Who knew it would lead to files, notebooks and even multiple state journeys. We spent a lot of time tromping through mid Central Kansas Cemeteries looking for those lost Worley's, Moody's, Davis's, Gilbert's, Reinhart's, Morris's, Milliken's, Darling's and maybe a connection into those Rowe's, just to mention a few we were looking for.
It's wonderful to see how today "tromping through a Cemetery" means just a few clicks of the mouse. I see a lot of our (my aunt & my) early work on those families now cited as information on our family members memorials. So I guess all those miles & trips we took paid off for a lot of folks!
My main interest in asking for transfers, maintaining & setting up new memorials is to take all of those years of work & put some of that information to good use. I want to pull my family groups together. It saddens me so when I find a individual family member's memorial with no information, no connection into the family, nothing about their parents, siblings, spouses and children. Nothing to tell about their lives. It's my hope I can help those orphan memorial of my families be reunited. Or be able to watch after my family and add some of that information we have accumulated over time. When I ask for a transfer, that is what I am trying to do. No numbers game, just a desire to have a family member of theirs, be the one who helps them tell their story.
You are welcome to use any information found, it's not mine alone. It would be nice however, for you to cite who took the photo, left the obituary, wrote the story or maintains the memorial. It's always nice to get a little recognition for the work done.
