I'm interested in local history of my hometown and genealogy, especially in emigration to post colonial America. It's fascinating to find the resting places of people who were born here, married, raised children and went away now to be found in cemeteries in the US.

I found FAG through ancestry when doing research on some people, esp. emigrants from my hometown and surroundings.

I've been a professional genealogist for almost 20 years now and a member of several historical and genealogical societies, like „Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Saarländische Familienforschung" here in Germany as well as Palam New York in the States. I write a book now and then and I'm a tour guide in my hometown St. Wendel.
