Greetings!

For years, I have enjoyed doing research and putting together my DeWitt famiy history. I have traced my lineage back to Tjerck Claessen DeWitt. He came to this country from Holland in 1654 and settled in New Amsterdam which later became New York. The house that he built in Kingston, NY, in 1669 still stands and is known as the Suydam Farm.

I am a retired science teacher, live in St. Paul, Minnesota, and have a wonderful family - daughter Lisa, sons Erik and Jay, 3 grandchildren, and their special mother/grandmother, JoAnn.

I very much appreciate the Find A Grave website and have made extensive use of it. I would like to contribute to adding to it.
