Like many others here, I spend quite a bit of time in cemeteries. While I do this for historic and genealogical reasons, my primary motivation is that cemeteries are reflective, peaceful, and full of stories. I research people and families of whom my interest is piqued and then write-up a brief history on them for my website (agravehistory.com). I have also helped search for graves by request. Peering into the history of cemeteries, families, and individuals is what I truly enjoy (and photography, of course). Everyone has a story to tell, they just need a voice to tell them.
