Bio

From the time I was young, my mother, sisters and I would go to the cemetery to take care of the graves of our family and friends. Cleaning the stones, planting flowers, and remembering those who were gone. We would always hear a new story or two about ancestors from my mother or my aunt. Even one shared by a brother in law about my father, a story that I never knew. As time went on, and my mother could no longer make the journey, my sister and I took over the job completely. I have always found cemeteries intriguing, and thought about the interesting lives of all those who were gone. There were great ethnic names, extended families buried near each other, old photos on the markers. All of them had great stories to tell. With the advent of increased interest in ancestry, families have begun to track down and write the stories of their loved ones. Thanks to the work of Find A Gave Volunteers, my husband and I have found out missing information that would never have been known otherwise. And to them I am grateful.
I am thankful to have the opportunity to give back. To take photos of cemeteries that I visit, and create memorials for those who are not already entered. I am also happy to try to satisfy a photo request if I am able. My wish for everyone is to have a venue and the information to tell your own family stories.
If I have entered a memorial for someone in your family, I am happy to transfer it to your care. Please just contact me and let me know your relationship. Or if you would like to have information corrected, or add information to a Memorial, please just send me verifiable information and I will make corrections or additions.
Listen to the stories that are shared with you. Celebrate the great and interesting lives that we are all given. Write them down for the next generation when you can. One day they will be interested, and you will want them to know.
