I view Find A Grave as a community service. I am happy to photograph gravestones for any memorial I can to honor that person's life here on earth. My photos are available for anyone to use to commemorate that person's life. No permission is needed. No credit acknowledgement is required.
I encourage other members of Find A Grave to post additional photos in Memorials that already have photos. In this way when photographers ,who really want their photos copyrighted, get flustrated and decide to pull their pictures it will not leave a memorial barren. The procedure of posting photos to a memorial should be more about honoring the deceased person and less about the ego of the photographer.
