Perhaps because I was named after my Grandfather Kenneth Bain and my great-grandfather James Russell Bain, I have been interested in family history since I was a kid. My father's family is Dutch; my mother's is Scottish/Canadian; Peg's father's family is mainly rural American with English and Welsh way back, and her mother's is Swedish. We have done research in all four branches. Our first, and only published history was about the Schoon family written in 1981. I am particularly interested in finding photographs of our early family members.
