My great-grandparents (maternal) came from Blekinge County, Sweden and settled in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota. I grew up listening to my Mom tell stories of her vast collection of aunts and uncles, most of whom lived in Parkers Prairie, and are buried at the Swedish Lutheran Cemetery. I've always been proud of my long and deep connections to the community. Now, as an older adult, I'm interested in documenting my family connections, and in helping others like myself, who may have family members buried in one of the Parkers Prairie cemeteries.
