Bio

Hello! I'm a hobbyist genealogist from Battle Creek, MI, researching since 2009.

Descendant of Robert Burdick, the first Burdick recorded in America, who settled in Westerly, RI with his wife, Ruth Hubbard Burdick.

At least three of my ancestors served during the Revolutionary War: Daniel Stoy, founder of Stoystown, PA; Timothy Riggs from Newark, NJ; and Luke Greene from Westerly, RI. Currently working on gathering all the documents I need in order to join Sons of the American Revolution.

RE: MEMORIAL TRANSFERS
Transfer requests for memorials of people to whom I am not related will almost always be approved. I disregard Find A Grave's asinine "close relatives only" guideline; gatekeeping family history is absolute BS and I refuse to condone it in any way.
(Transfer requests for memorials of people to whom I am related will depend on a couple of factors. Send me a message and we'll work something out.)

RE: EDIT SUGGESTIONS
I take my responsibility for all of the memorials I manage VERY seriously. I'm not collecting and hoarding memorials just to beef up my stats, which seems to be the case for some of the more prolific Find A Grave users, nor is my goal to lord over the memorials in my care like a pompous ass. (You know, like a lot of the bored, downright RUDE housewives on here.)
That said, I'm equally responsible as those suggesting edits to ensure said suggestions are accurate, so I take some time to personally validate information using the resources available to me before accepting or rejecting edits. I understand that there's no way to attach a source to an edit suggestion and I can't receive proof of your suggestions telepathically, so I'll just locate sources myself in accordance with my personal "If you want it done right, do it yourself" policy.
