Bio
Growing up, we regularly visited relative's gravesites, and sometimes would explore the small mountain cemeteries when camping/hiking. It was always fascinating to me - the variety of stones, the names, seeking out the oldest, the youngest, the newest. To this day, I still enjoy visiting a cemetery, as it's often peaceful and my mind can just imagine the lives of the people gone before me. I know now that I'm part taphophile!
FindAGrave has given me an opportunity to explore further – learning a local history, visiting locations I didn't even realize where right up the road, and participating in expanding and enhancing the connections that can be made for families world-wide.
Sometimes I make typos or duplications – kindly let me know, as I would like to correct the mistakes.
If you would like a memorial transferred, please ask - I'd be happy to give management to someone who has a connection.
My recent activity has been with Colorado and Pennsylvania Hebrew cemeteries, and often extra tidbits in the memorials come from the JOWBR (JewishGen Online Worldwide Burial Registry).
Also contributing edits to memorials in National/Veterans cemeteries in the USA - thank you to those providing photos to fill my photo requests as we honor these vets and their families.
Thank you for the work you do for this site – it's a big collaboration project, isn't it?!
