Born October 3, 1946 in Arcadia, FL to David W. Jones and Sarah Frances Jordan. Grew up in south Florida. Then when I was 13 the family moved to Gainesville, FL, where I completed high school in 1964. Attended Mars Hill College (Mars Hill, NC), the University of Florida and the University of Kentucky to complete my education. Employed by North Carolina State University as an extension poultry specialist 1977 through 1997. Employed by the University of Arkansas 1997 through 2009 when I retired. Retirement has included volunteer work, church work, genealogy and some fishing.
