Bio

I was raised in Sacramento, CA and went to BYU and earned a degree in Communications with a minor in English. I met my husband at BYU and after we married we moved to Japan, and ended up there for 3 years. My interest in Genealogy started in Japan. Once we were back in the States and living with my in-laws while my husband was job hunting, I made a deal with him that for every hour he golfed I got to go to the local LDS Church's genealogy library and do research. While raising 4 children the time devoted to genealogy has varied throughout the years. I now (2016) only have 1 left at home and am looking forward to spending more time on it.
I am adopted and in 2017 took a DNA test, then with the results and many hours of traditional genealogical research I figured out who my birth parents are. They stayed together and many years after my birth they married. I also have a full brother. I have met them all and have been welcomed by them and my extended birth family. I now am a volunteer DNA search angel, using DNA results to help other adoptees find their birth families.
