I am a retired firefighter / fire chief and have been a part of the development and maintenance of the Alaska Fallen Firefighter Memorial in Anchorage, Alaska. This experience has solidified my belief that every person should be honored and remembered.

As a contributor to Find-A-Grave I strive to add and maintain the most accurate and dignified memorials possible. So many people pass without having a published obituary or traditional burial in a cemetery. There is no gravestone to mark they ever lived on this earth. These tributes become history that may be referenced by others while researching their genealogy.
