I am a 10th generation North American Tickner. I am a descendant of William Tickner who came from England in the early middle 1600s. My line has always retained the original English spelling of the name. I am also descended from John Cowles also from England at about the same time. My German ancestors came to New York state in about 1710 and were the Casselman family. I have lived in Atlanta since I graduated from college.
