Bio
I was raised on a farm in SE Mich. I attended the Univ of Mich and, after a brief respite in the US Navy during the Korean war, continued My studies. After graduation, I Joined the Staff at the University's Enviromental Research Laboratory (ERIM) and participated in various programs involving airborne heat-mapping of the Earth's surface (Infrared); programs included studies in Iceland, Italy, S. Africa, Antarctica, etc. I authored numerous scientific papers and was honored by the National Science Foundation (NSF) by the naming of a Mountain Butte on the Antarctic Continent
After retiring from the University, I removed to Florida and became involved in Family Genealogy. I can trace several of My Ancestors back to the Plantagenet and Capet Dynasties of England and France. I am a Member of the Mayflower Society with Gov. Wm. Bradford as a Direct Ancestor.
I'm currently working on identifying additional 17th and 18-Century Ancestors who migrated from New York to SE Michigan; These include the following Surnames: Miller, Crittenden, Cady, Fisher and Briggs.
