I'm 38 with two children, daughter 18 and son 16. I currently have a house on 13 acres with a Buffalo, MO address in the Fair Grove, MO School District.
I've always loved Ancestry, Genealogy, History and anything old! Being a full-time working mother of two kept me very busy, but after my divorce in 2019 I've been able to do more of what I want to do and devote more of my time to my passion.
My father's paternal side, the Johnsons, have been in Benton County, MO since the 1800's. My parents own a 600-acre farm in Fristoe, MO that's been in my family since the 1950's. My cousin owns a 600-acre farm in Edwards that's been in my family since my 4th Great Grandfather Wesley (Westley) bought the 1st 120 acres and I found his land patents in 1857, 1858 and 1860. His sons went on to add to the land with land patents that I found in 1880, 1882 and 1892.
Several of my ancestors, and close family members, are buried in Turkey Creek Chapel Cemetery. My cousin is a current board member and I have the 1 and only Cemetery Map as I volunteered to restore, revamp and update it.
I am working to make sure 'Every' Turkey Creek Chapel Cemetery burial site; person, unknown with rock, just unknown, etc. will be added to Find a Grave and upon completion of the Map I will add all Lot # information.
