I am retired and also a genealogy nut, having tracked more information about my ancestors than I can digest and arrange, even with genealogy software. Cemeteries fascinate me, and I easily get caught up in the stories they tell in stone. I love finding an old cemetery that contains the graves of early settlers, and strongly believe they need to be remembered and honored. So far, I have found one old graveyard and posted pictures of the stones to Find-A-Grave. There are at least two other remote graves in that area, one I have found, and one I am still seeking. I feel a strong pull from those departed souls to make sure they are not forgotten. It is a very gratifying undertaking.
