I am a direct descendant from the first marriage of Florence Louise Stickley (1888 - 1961, Arlington National Cemetery) to Carl C. ("C.C.") Kusterer (1884 - 1932, Oakhill Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MI); of their son Carl F. Kusterer (m. Helen McDonnell); of their son Charles Christoph Kusterer III (1938 - 1995) (m. Dianne Gail Link, b 5-13-1943), who legally changed his name c1962 (Kalamazoo, MI court) to Charles Christopher Rietberg in honor of the "adopted" family who raised him after his biological father abused him and his grandmother Florence removed him from that home. He was legally adopted by Florence Stickley Kusterer Hatch (c1943, in Hollywood, California) as a child to ensure the transfer of her wealth, making him her legal "child" heir due to uncertainties surrounding her son, Carl F.'s ability to carry out her inheritance wishes. As Chuck's daughter, I am both biologically Florence's great-grand daughter and legally her grand daughter.
