I've always been interested in history but it wasn't until some years ago that I became really interested in individual family history and genealogy. Mine and others.

My Grandma, Ma and her sisters used to go to the old Johnson Cemetery in Soddy Daisy, TN just about every weekend to do the mowing and clean it up. I ended up hearing many stories about this name or that one as my grandmother would reminisce about times gone by. My aunts, too, would note the tragedies or accomplishments that involved some families' names as we came across them.
Aside from my traipsing around in graveyards, I spent a lot of my time listening to elders talk about their "Glory Days", and many times, you'd find me down at Ole Mrs. So & So's instead of playing with neighborhood kids. Sadly, as each person died, they took that rich knowledge of their history with them. I wished I had paid more attention back then.

In searching my own family, It was pretty easy on my Ma's side- as my grandmother kept records and my aunts collected more as the years went by.
That side has been researched pretty far back.
My Pa's side? It's been very difficult. So, to take a break from the headache of those almost non-existent family records, I try to look up other people and help out where I can.

The names I'm looking for are Luna from west Tennessee, Fajkus in Texas and Vana from Czechoslovakia/ Bohemia descent.
