After over 30 years of research I have found that I have a "thing" in making sure those stillborn babies and those who died young are not forgotten in my family.

So I have decided on a national project - to use my knack of finding 'hard to find' people to help other New Zealand families discover beloved stillborn babes within their own families who may have been misplaced, lost or forgotten.

Often with stillborn babes information can be limited. Their births may not have been registered, they might have been whisked away and buried quickly with limited information recorded in cemetery records. Sometimes the only reference may be a birth notice in the local paper especially pre 1912 when they were not registered.

Please note - With some cases there is simply no cemetery records to confirm where a stillborn babe is interred. When this happens I am placing a reference to them into the biographical notes of the mother.

Why? because they are too important to be misplaced, lost or forgotten

If you have any updates or corrections, please let me know.

If I manage a memorial page which belongs to your family I am happy to transfer management to you for they belong with family, please just reach out.

Also have an interest in the following cemeteries in general having done projects on them
Raithby Methodist Cemetery - North Loburn, Canterbury, New Zealand
Mount St Catholic Cemetery - Wellington, New Zealand
