I am an amateur genealogist. I have been researching my family for a few years now, and ran across the Find A Grave website by accident, when trying to locate the grave of a distant relative. I signed up, requested a picture of the grave, and within a few days, received it from a great person who took time out of their day to help. I noticed there were several cemeteries in my area that had open requests for grave site photos. I decided to help out, as it would be a fun thing for my 6 year old son and I to do, helping others find their family members.
