After a few deaths in the family, I started gathering family data every where that I could. Since I was only 14 and entering High School when I started my genealogical research, I had to stay local in my searches. Family bibles, extended family, the local library, and photo descriptions were all that I had. Now, years later, I have found parts of my family from all around the world without having to leave the country. Italy, Ireland, Switzerland, Prussia, Germany, Basque, Argentina, Canada, Britain, Mexico, Spain, France, and more. I can even trace lines back to Charlemagne, the Robertian royal line, and Basque royalty that go back to the 3rd century but other family lines disappear after 100 years without a trace. So, I am always looking for family, and adding as I go.
