Bio

I have been working on a Fraley/Friley/Frailey/Freiley (and associated names) surname project since 2001. At that time, Find-A-Grave was in it's infancy, but now it is helping in immense ways, and I wish to contribute where I can. I have no problems visiting cemeteries, and am a computer professional with a photo habit that goes back to childhood. I am a stickler for accuracy and have been providing corrections for various published genealogy sites and researchers since the 1990's. With over 30 years of genealogy experience, and a surname-study approach to clear up record confusion (including creating custom software and winnowing data records to remove "noise" data), I feel I am somewhat unique in my efforts to document my surname--I am interested in any American with the Fraley or derived surnames, regardless of my relation. While I sometimes work on other branches of my family history, I much more prefer the source-based approach rather than just the pursuit of my ancestry (which is basically completed, but we all know it never ends). I like to step in for those newbies that are searching for their ancestors via the surname forums--and give them as much as I can to help them in their quest. We are all in this together, on this clement planet we call home.

A quick note about photos I post: Use them any way you wish, they are public domain, I don't want to put shackles on anybody's family research.
I take the photos as a gift. Consider them as such!
