I recently have become interested in my family history while listening to my father reminisce about his early childhood memories growing up in rural AL during the 1920s. Stories of visiting relatives and adventures have been fascinating.I started helping him with his family tree and now I want to know more. I am slowly learning how to gather information and do the research. I realized that someday when my great grandchildren are in their 60s, they may be interested in family history and if I can document what I can find and pass that on, it will be easier for them to keep up with and pass on to their descendants.
