Bio

I grew up west of Birmingham, Alabama. I was the youngest child of 4 with many years differences in our ages. I grew up with "antique furniture"; which I hated. There were pictures of ancestors hanging on the wall and in picture boxes. I didn't know who these people were and unfortunately I had no interest in learning. I could KICK myself now. Through the years those pictures have disappeared. I'm the only one left of my family and can no longer ask questions of anyone.
I NOW have an avid interest in locating my family of origin - Ellis Family from Georgia and Alabama. It has been difficult. However, I continue to try to locate them. My dad gave me a love for walking through cemeteries. It's a pleasure to help others locate their family members and to take pictures of the markers.
Since searching for grave sites in larger cemeteries it is very difficult to locate without the name of the garden the loved one is buried in. A local cemetery, 3 miles from my home, has 84 acres of burial property and 26 different gardens. It is impossible for one person to walk the whole cemetery looking for the name without location information.
