I was born on our farm in Tustin, Michigan and have lived in Michigan except for time in the American Peace Corps in India and in the U S Army when I was drafted and then spent my time as an MP stationed at West Point in New York.

I have been able to trace the Holmquist family back four generations and my Mothers Vanderhoof family back to 1661 (ten generations) when they came from Beesd, Netherlands.

Now as a 70 year old retiree, I am realizing the questions I should have asked so many years ago,
