I stumbled upon the Find A Grave site when searching cemetery records online after my mother passed away in June 2012. I am interested in genealogy and have done quite a bit of research in the past on my own family. I have also always enjoyed walking through cemeteries and reading the grave markers so when I saw an opportunity to do that and help others out in the process I jumped at the chance. I'm hoping to contribute many of the photos that are requested in my area.
I was born in Sheldon, Iowa and currently reside north of Boyden, Iowa. I am a Product Specialist with Hy-Vee, Inc. in Sheldon and hoping to retire within the next five years. (then I'll have more time for wandering through cemeteries!)
I have three grown children, 2 in Chicago and 1 in northwest Iowa. My husband and I have a spoiled min-pin, eleven chickens on our acreage,and we enjoy camping and Nascar and stock car races.
