Bio

The early years of my life were in Cool Springs,SC. In the late 1950's,I built play houses out of tobacco sticks and dug holes thinking I would find China. Mrs Maude Jones was my first grade teacher and John Dawsey was my school principal. It was at Midland Elementary that I learned that President Kennedy had been shot. It was a historical time in America and I was there.
Searching family history was something Mama taught me. She would often take us with her as she searched for a family grave site. I can remember the hot sand on my bare feet as we looked for people that I had never met.
In the late 1950's and early 60's, I could never have imagined that one day I would search my own past...but from the comfort of a recliner.
