I was born in San Fernando, CA. Both of my parents (Joseph & Geraldine [Gerri] Piros) wew in the U.S. Navy during WWII (1942-1945). My siblings were: JoAnn Piros (Schmidt) 11/1947 - 12/2006 and half-sister, Sonja Marie Scott (Rone) 03/1959 - 05/2022.
I was raised mostly in Fullerton, CA. wher3 I went to Gage Elementary & Nicholas Jr. High.
Then we moved to Bull Shoals, Ark. when I was 12. I attended Flippin High School and spent my summers playing, swimming, boating & water skiing on Bull Shoals Lake. On 06/15/1969 I married Donald Leo Cassel of Lakeview, Ark. We had 2 daughters, Donna Stephanie - 11/30/69 & Bridget. Adria Belle 02/04/1972, who were both born in Mtn. Home, Ark.
Don was in the Army so we usually lived on or near the Army Posts. His 1st station after training was at Ft. Benning near Columbus, GA for 3 yrs with a 6 mth stint at Ft. Knox, KY. After, we were at Wildflecken, Germany, came back to Ft. Benning, then we're stationed at Auschaffenburg, Germany. After 7.5 yrs, we divorced.

In 1976 and I moved to Colorado Springs, CO. where I worked at the Colorado Springs Police Dept, from 03/1977 to 1979 as a Civilian Fingerprint Technician in the Records Dept . In 1979 I was hired as a Noise Police Officer & became a regular CSPD Police/Patrol Officer in 1985.

During my time in Patrol (1986-1993), I was Training Officer, & Trainer for new Training Officers, a part- time instructor at the Training Academy, and in 1995 to 1997, I was the Coordinator & acting Sgt. for the Volunteer Enforcement Office, for 3 programs - the Reserve Officers, The Police Cadet Program & the Handicap Parking Enforcement Unit.

From 1993 to 1995, I was a Detective in Major Crimes in the Sex Crimes Unit.
In 1981 I married Robert F.(Bob) Proctor, Jr. We divorced in 02/1999.
From 1995 to 11/1999, I was a Detective in the Economic Crime Division, located within the District Attorney's Office.
I was doing my annual two week stint back in Patrol when I fell on some ice at work and fractured my upper & lower spine. I was placed on light duty, then medically retired from CSPD In May of 2003.
In June, I moved to Shawnee, KS. to help my younger sister Sonja take of our Mother, Gerri who had Dementia.

I later met my now & last husband, Gary A. Covey. We were married on 02/05/2005 in Overland Park, KS. We lived on Gary's cattle ranch in Linwood, KS. until we sold everything in 2019 and moved to Lee's Summit, MO. in preparation for his retirement. Gary was an IT Manager for MoDOT/SCOUT Program in Lee's Summit. He retired in July 2019, we bought a 40 foot motorhome and started travelling over and across North America. As of 2022, I am 69 yrs old and we are still travelling. We hope to continue our travels as long as we can.
