I have been researching my family history, off and on, for almost 40 years. My parents grew up in Morehouse and Ouachita Parishes in Louisiana. On my mother's side I am researching the names Mills and O'Neal. On my father's side the names are Hewette/Hewett/Hewitt and Courtney. I wish there could be more "quality control". I point to the fact that the Courtney Family Graveyard located south of Bastrop, Louisiana was created by an individual who misspelled the name as Courney. Because the name is misspelled, those searching for the cemetery name will not find it. That to me is very sad.
