I have been researching my family history for many years. It started when I found out my father was adopted. He would not let us do any research to find information out about his biological family so I let it go for a long time. Many years later he had a massive stroke and eventually agreed to let me kick it up a notch. I was able to find out a lot about his family's medical history through death certificates and research. That being said I am mainly researching the following family names Deckman, Dieringer, Smith (West Virginia - Ohio County and Ohio - Stark County), Chilcote, and Volden.
