Bio

I started researching my fathers side of the family this year because I have good research on my mothers side but knew nearly nothing about my Boyer relatives.I started taking pics of their gravestones for myself but then Find-A-Grave helped me locate a "lost" relative and so I started returning the favor. I am fascinated by the fact that our history is all around us and I never noticed it before. Once I got over the uneasiness of hanging out in a cemetery as a hobby ,I have been having a blast. I try to find out as much pertinent info as possible on the people whose memorials I post ,using a genealogy site I am a member of.I am reminded over and over again that every grave has a story of a life ,some shorter than others, with the same hopes and dreams, love and sorrows of those still living. It has given me a new respect for my own family history and the history of our country. My main interests are the Boyer Family of Ste Genevieve, Mo.and Prairie du Rocher IL.

I am in the process of photographing St. Josephs Cemetery in Prairie du Rocher IL. I will try to fulfill all of the photo requests that I can. Unfortunately some of the stones are broken and to old and weathered to read. I will still post these.
