Genealogy is like a drug for a broken body and sound mind. I can research anyone and anything and am an avid reader of History. The two go hand in hand which makes me quite happy. My main concern is proof. How do we know what we know if we didn't experience it ourselves. Through documents, photos and yes, headstones we have our proof of lives lived before us. I still have questions which may never be answered by the material world but the anecdotal stories fill the voids and make this a more personal journey.
