Bio

I grew up behind Westwood Memorial Park in Los Angeles, CA and would always spend time to stop and look at the memorials as I passed through to get to a movie theater on the other side. I would wonder who each of them were in life, what they had experienced, and who grieved for their passing. This led to me spending a whole lot of time in the libraries around me with microfiche and microfilm trying to find out. Even before I was old enough to understand what an icon she really was, I was always especially taken with the interment of Marilyn Monroe. Her death so young really resonated with me.
I started gravestone restoration and recovery during my undergraduate college years out in Colorado, and through that fell into doing work as a personal historian, helping people track down hidden branches of their family trees. I am passionate about keeping people's stories alive, whether I know them or not. The idea of someone's life or monument fading away just crushes me.
I'm always happy to help if you hit a snag in your research, or need a photo or a location around the Northern Oregon Coast. Just drop me a line, and I will let you know what I can do!
