Began researching Nerge family tree in 1977 when my first child was born. Bought Family Tree Maker software in 1998 and through FTM created a home page with about 1,500 family entries. Posted five key reports and made the decision to help anyone who reached out to me. Through perseverance and the help of others world-wide, my family tree now has expanded to over 182,000 entries as of 1 Sep 2023. I also maintain trees in FamilySearch and ancestry. My focus is German families in the Schaumburg Township, Illinois area and the Schaumburg, Germany area. My tree is both deep (back to the 1500's) and wide (many direct, indirect and no direct relationships).
